1. Sonder

Spring 2024
Sonder is a collaborative book project between the seventeen students within the Appalachian States Book Arts Class from Spring 2024. We all visited the Nature Preserve on campus and decided to study the site to produce our book. After we all had time to sit and connect with the preserve we concluded that a complex life existed in the space. We felt sonder about the site. Throughout this project, I worked with the design team to create the book page compositions, layouts, and ideation of three variations. During the first stage of ideation, I contributed imagery. I helped develop the concepts behind the page cutouts and how we clarified the book's narrative to our audience. Toward the end of the project, I did the last pass through the book before it got sent to print.
