Embracing Entanglement (No. 1) (2023)









Embracing Entanglement is an ongoing book-based study about the community mycelium has created. Mold, fungus, and mushrooms cannot exist without mycelium. Mycelium connects the species and creates a community of organisms that work together to keep their communities thriving. Much like mold, people often find comfort in communities because people need people to survive. Mold needs mold to survive. This book is based on a flag book. All the interior images are up close images or mold and scanned in fabric. I chose this book form to show the connection between comfort and community through the blending of images.
